ATTACK PROTECTION CELL FOR CARS
TITAN offers covert occupant protection for any make or modelThe UK’s first ever ‘protection cell’ for production vehicles has been launched by secure transport specialists Armour Car Lite. TITAN uses special ballistic and blast-proof material in the bodywork and a unique reverse engineering glass strengthening process derived from military technology, which together offers vehicle occupants a new level of protection against armed attack.
The TITAN system creates an Attack Protection Cell through a number of tailor-made light weight panels installed in the bodywork of the car. In addition, Armour Car Lite is the only UK company offering glass strengthening derived from military technology which withstands impact such as attack from a hammer or solid object, some low calibre handguns and explosions.
The patented TITAN protection system can be installed in any type of vehicle and its light-weight properties mean that the performance of the vehicle is unaffected, no modifications to the car are required and the protection is undetectable. The system is fully installed by Armour Car Lite trained and accredited vehicular ballistic technicians and the process takes around seven days.
James R (identity confidential for security reasons), Armour Car Lite Director and TITAN designer and innovator, explains why there is more demand for vehicle-based protection of this kind: “Anyone can find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time. The continuing threat of gun crime, car jacking and organised criminal gangs along with rising concern about terrorism means that if we are to maintain our freedom of movement we need to be more aware of our own vulnerability. Our customers are high profile or wealthy individuals who feel that they may be a target and wish to protect themselves and their families whilst still being able to go about their normal activities.”

TITAN has been independently tested and is proven to offer protection against hand guns such as .38 revolver and 9mm semi automatic weapons, both weapons of choice and used on the streets of UK towns and cities by gang members, drug dealers and rival criminal gangs. The glass strengthening system will withstand a single round from a .38 special revolver at 50 feet – a level of protection only now available through this patented product.
